HOTBIN Wins Chelsea Garden Product of the Year 201924 May 2019 | HOTBIN Composting HOTBIN Composting Wins RHS Chelsea Garden Product of the Year 2019 with the New HOTBIN Mini Compost BinHOTBIN Composting has been awarded the coveted RHS Chelsea Garden Product of the Year Award 2019 for the new HOTBIN Mini which has been designed and is manufactured in the UK. The HOTBIN Mini is a small but efficient composter which packs in all of the original HOTBIN features into a smaller, slimline unit suitable for smaller urban gardens. Reaching temperatures of 40-60°c, all food and garden waste can be composted including cooked food, small bones and perennial weeds in 30-90 days. Bringing hot composting to a wider range of households, the HOTBIN Mini reduces the amount of waste sent to landfill via kerbside collections, creating instead a cycle of recycling domestic waste into rich compost for use in and around the garden to grow your own and to improve soil. One of twelve finalists in the prestigious competition, the HOTBIN Mini was chosen as the winner by three esteemed judges; Deborah Meaden (Entrepreneur and BBC’s Dragons Den), Chris Harrop (Group Marketing Director and Director of Sustainability at Marshalls) and Peter Seabrook (Gardening Correspondent for The Sun). ![]() “The HOTBIN Mini Composter showed real innovation in making composting cleaner, simpler and more accessible for modern households.
