RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival | July 2023

Winner of RHS Peoples’s Choice Award, the Best Get Started Garden and a gold medal the Renter’s Retreat Garden designer Zoe Claymore realised 1 in 3 households were renting homes and wanted to provide inspiration for renters to get gardening. This garden encompassed ideas on gardening without digging in to the soil or attaching anything to walls, including a waterbutt and HOTBIN composter to create enclosed loop gardening.

Designed by Stephen Hall this beautiful walk-through garden replicated a typical Derbyshire country garden and was designed to inspire and promote good garden health and illustrate ways in which all gardeners can tackle the risk of pests and disease on UK flora.

Split into sections, each part addressed a different gardening area and included soundbites from the BBC Gardeners Question Time team offering valuable gardening health advice.
