General Delivery Information
Delivery to addresses in England, Wales and Southern Scotland is free of charge. If you live north of the Scottish Central Belt, on a Scottish Island, in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland, your order will incur a delivery charge.
While we try to keep costs as low as possible, however there are certain locations within the UK mainland (as mentioned above) which are unfortunately subject to a delivery surcharge. These costs are determined directly by our courier and not HOTBIN Composting.
International Delivery Information
If you are enquiring about delivery to another country, then please have a look at our international stockists page or contact us and we will provide you with your best delivery option. Please be aware that due to the volumetric size of the HOTBIN delivery can be very expensive.
If you would like to obtain an independent international delivery quotation, please request that the shipping company quotes for delivery of a HOTBIN using the following packaged dimensions and weights:
Height: 125 cm
Width: 60 cm
Depth: 65 cm
International couriers will also need the volumetric weight of the HOTBIN unit rather than the actual weight for costing purposes. For each HOTBIN, this is 78kg and not the actual weight of 12-18kg.
UK Delivery Times Only
We offer a standard UK delivery time of 5-15 working days on all our products but this may vary with demand.
All of the UK bound HOTBIN products are currently shipped with DPD and can take up to 5 working days to be delivered once they have been dispatched.
Our delivery times cannot be guaranteed in case of adverse weather conditions.
Please note: If you are ordering different products please be aware that these may be sent from different warehouses so they may not arrive as a single delivery.
Leave Safe and Signatures
Signatures are not required for HOTBINs on delivery. If you are likely to be out when the delivery is made and wish to provide us with a ‘safe place’ or a ‘deliver to neighbour’ option, we can pass this information onto our couriers DPD Local. Instructions can be left on the first page of the checkout. Orders with specific delivery instructions (eg. 'leave round back') are left at the customers own risk.
We are unable to guarantee delivery on a specific day however we will do our utmost to fulfil your requirements
Delivery / Damage
All of the HOTBINs are shipped in heavy duty cardboard boxes which is usually more than sufficient to ensure that your order arrives in excellent condition.
Where possible please check the packaging for any obvious damage before accepting. If the HOTBIN has visible damage behind any rips or holes in the box, please refuse delivery and we can arrange for a replacement to be dispatched.
Should you notice damage after the delivery has been signed for (or left safe), please contact us on 0808 168 8499 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we will rectify this for you.
Please ensure all original packaging is with the product.

All orders will receive an e-mail confirmation with your receipt attached and a second email confirming when an order has been dispatched. Prices displayed on the website are valid at the date of order.
If you would like to track your order then please leave a mobile number as your contact number when you place your order.
You will receive a text message from DPD including your tracking number once your HOTBIN order has been dispatched.
DPD will send an estimated delivery date and time and delivery options. Please note: these are dates and times are only estimates and are regrettably not guaranteed.
Please be aware that if you have ordered multiple items these may be delivered separately and all deliveries (including bulking agent) will appear as a HOTBIN delivery from our courier.
Under normal circumstances once dispatched, most UK mainland orders are delivered within 4 working days.
For those ordering multiple units or with international delivery addresses, please be aware that orders may be dispatched on pallets to prevent additional shipping charges being applied. We are unfortunately unable to provide any unique tracking information for pallet dispatches. For those individuals wishing to obtain a delivery update on their order, please contact us direct and we can request this from our freight company.
