HOTBIN Returns Policy

Our goal is to have satisfied customers who recommend the HOTBIN. If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason please contact us to let us know why.

Change of Mind Policy

If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, then under the 'online distance selling obligations' we will accept a return and refund your purchase price. You must inform us within 14 days of receiving the product. The item must be returned in an unused and undamaged condition in its original packaging.

We can arrange collection, but we will deduct a fee of £50.00 per HOTBIN Mk.2 and HOTBIN Mega, £40.00 per HOTBIN Mini or £18.00 per HOTBIN Plinth from your refund if we arrange collection. You are welcome to return the HOTBIN or HOTBIN Plinth at your own cost and receive a full refund.

Please be aware that due to its size, many couriers will refuse to collect the HOTBIN or may charge upwards of £50.

Check very carefully that your courier will collect a package of 60 x 60 x 125 cm and 10Kg weight.

Damaged Goods Returns Policy

The most likely need to contact us will be damage you notice to the HOTBIN caused in transit. Wherever possible if the packaging appears damaged inspect the product before the driver leaves, if damage is apparent sign for the item as damaged - it makes claims and replacements so much easier. If you notice damage or a fault please contact us immediately by email giving the following information:

  • A description of the problem (including a photograph of the damage)
  • How you believe it was damaged - eg in transit or accidentally during use

Your HOTBIN comes with a 3-year manufacturer’s guarantee on the EPP material with the exception of the thermometers, cam straps, raking stick and empty kick start bottle which are guaranteed for 12 months.

What is NOT included in the scope of the guarantee

Look after your HOTBIN and it will keep you in free, organic rich compost for 10-15 years plus.

Having Problems Getting the HOTBIN Working

Our goal is to have satisfied customers who recommend our products and we have an enviable record of getting customers hot composting when they have had problems initially. Our policy is to go through our help knowledge base via phone and email and to support our customers until they can get the HOTBIN working.
